The Oregon Zoo Presents; Frogs - Oregon Zoo
FROGS!, an exciting traveling exhibition, is the zoo's latest seasonal attraction. The exhibit features several frog species, including the White's tree frog, Vietnamese mossy frog, fire belly toad and poison dart frog among others. Tadpole Tales Story Time, fun-filled educational activities and a kiosk that emits frog sounds are just a few of the exhibit's many highlights.

The Pittock Mansion Presents; ’Twas the Night before Christmas . . . in Oregon - Pittock Mansion
Clement Clark Moore’s classic, “The Night before Christmas,” provides the delightful theme for this year’s holiday celebration at Portland’s historic Pittock Mansion. Each of the mansion’s 23 rooms will reflect a verse from the familiar 1823 children’s poem.

Wolf to Woof: The Story of Dogs - World Forestry Center Discovery Museum
Never before shown in the Pacific Northwest, the exhibit sniffs out the facts on dogs and explores what makes their relationship with humans so unique. The hands-on, interactive components use our familiarity and love of our four-legged friends to explore science and biological concepts. Visitors can enter a “howling” area, guess what other dogs are saying, test their human noses against an extraordinary sense of smell of a dog’s nose, and climb into an avalanche scene to see what it’s like to be saved by a search and rescue dog. Visitors will leave with a better understanding of the evolution of dogs, their cultural and historical importance, as well as what they can do to promote a better understanding and better life for wild and domestic dogs.

13th annual Holiday Ale Festival - Holiday Ale Festival
The winter season holds many gifts for beer lovers in the form of big, bold ales designed to fend off the cold chill of a long winter night. The Holiday Ale Festival has gathered together more than three dozen of these winter warmers, most of which cannot be tasted outside of the event. Held outdoors in the dark, cold and often wet month of December, the Holiday Ale Festival keeps attendees warm and dry under a large clear tent that covers the venue while allowing for views of the city lights.

OMSI Presents; OMSI After Dark - OMSI
Here's your chance to shoot off water rockets, concoct chemical creations, and explore the wonders of OMSI with no kids in sight! Portland Symphonic Choir Presents; Wintersong! 2008 - Portland Symphonic Choir
Wintersong! is a sparkling celebration of carols and choral works from around the world. This year the Portland Symphonic Choir features the Fantasia on Christmas Carols, a collection of traditional English songs transformed into haunting beauty by the beloved early 20th century British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. The work is famous for its warm baritone solos and lilting music like a memory of a bygone era. You will recognize several familiar tunes and be introduced to others; all will delight you.
